Anna Kooiman is an American international TV host, lifestyle writer, certified Women’s Fitness Specialist, and creator of Strong Sexy Mammas (online and live group workouts for women). Anna currently lives in Sydney, Australia but continues to spend a lot of time in New York City. She and her Aussie husband moved to Bondi Beach from NYC in October 2016. Anna has been appearing regularly on Aussie national TV shows such as Studio Ten, The Project, Sky News, and The Today Show. Anna is the former female anchor of the number one weekend cable morning show in the world, ‘Fox and Friends.’ Anna continues to appear on Fox in the USA - both on television and online.

The Fox News Channel show Anna hosted is a four hour, breakfast ad-lib show is a mix of politics, current events, lifestyle, and fun. Anna spent 5 years at Fox News Channel in New York City. She also anchored and contributed to multiple New Year’s Eve specials aired internationally on FNC.

Anna was a major contributor to the show’s 2016 US presidential election coverage... interviewing the candidates (including Donald Trump frequently), as well as crisscrossing the country to find out the issues that mattered to everyday Americans. Anna covered major US events from both the studio and the field. Anna was live on the ground following the terror attacks in San Bernardino, CA and Orlando, Florida. Among many other natural disasters, Anna was out in the elements during Hurricane Sandy, and the NE Blizzard of 2015, as well as the devastating Moore, Oklahoma tornadoes.

Anna ran two Marathon Majors for charity during her time at Fox News Channel. She completed the Boston Marathon to raise money for One Fund Boston, which helps victims of the Boston terror attack. A few months later, Anna and an Air Force fighter pilot, and the founder of Folds of Honor completed the New York City marathon to raise money for families of service members killed or severely wounded while fighting for freedom. Anna was a fitness instructor while also working in TV in Charlotte. She taught up to 10 classes a week.

Anna also hosted a series which aired on Fox News called, ‘Road Trip with Anna Kooiman.’ She traveled all over the United States crossing off bucket list items! During her five years at Fox News Channel Anna went stunt flying with the Air National Guard, baseball playing with the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians, betting the races at the Kentucky Derby, NASCAR driving at Charlotte Motor Speedway and riding at the Daytona 500, honky tonkin’ and karaoke singin’ with a country music star in Nashville, surfing waves with a pro in San Diego, swimming with dolphins in Florida, fly fishing with a stud fisherman in Cody, Red Bull cliff diving into Boston Harbor, and so many more wild experiences!

Anna is the 2016 North Carolina Azalea Queen. She is the winner of two NC Associated Press Awards. Anna anchored a series that helped US Marshals in Ohio round up more than 100 fugitives. Anna was previously an anchor and reporter at ABC in Wilmington, NC, NBC in Toledo, OH, and FOX in Charlotte, NC. Anna is a Charlotte native. Her parents and brother still live there and own The Peppermint Forest Christmas Shop and Oasis Pools and Patio stores.

Anna married her Australian husband, Tim at the Central Park Boathouse in New York City in 2015. The couple has a yellow lab named Baxter who was a groomsman in the wedding. Baxter has also made a lot of television appearances over the years. They now reside in Bondi Beach, Australia.

Anna's relevant fitness education includes, National Academy of Sports Medicine: Women's Fitness Specialist, Athletics and Fitness Association of America: Group Fitness Instructor, American Council on Exercise: Training the Postnatal Client (Fit 4 Mom), Exercise During and After Pregnancy: Understanding ACOG Guidelines. Anna also holds a Communication Studies Degree with a minor in Community Health from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
