Wearing Byron Lars in NYC's West Village
Back in New York City and Loving It
I just had to come check out my old hood in NYC... The West Village. I think it's Manhattan's best neighborhood. Chill vibe. Amazing bars, boutiques, cafes, and fitness studios. When I moved to New York in 2011 I was living in the Central Park South area. That was nice too since it was right by Central Park and I was able to walk to work at Fox. But it felt too touristy. And the buildings were too tall! LOL Anyway it feels so nice to be back in the hood. So many fond memories of long walks with Baxter and romantic meals with my husband are all flooding back. New York City will always hold a special place in my heart.
Now for the dress! The DRESS! It's by Byron Lars. His styles are very tailored and the detailing is impeccable. You can pick one up using this LINK. Shop other Byron Lars goodies by scrolling down.

Santa Monica LBD Accessorizing
I LOVE NY! It feels so great to be back in my favorite city. Fox News has flown me back to the USA from Australia to host our Proud American coverage for Independence Day Weekend. I've had a blast in the last 36 hours catching up with old friends and colleagues... checking out my old hot spots for fitness and fun... and taking pictures for upcoming AnnaKooiman.com fashion posts. I fly to NC on Friday where we will begin filming pieces to air for the FNC Proud American July 4th coverage. I'll be on Fox and Friends Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. The coverage will be long and strong on July 4th throughout the holiday. I can't wait! I hope you'll tune in. Also, please be on the lookout because I'll be writing a piece for FoxNews.com about what makes me proud to be an American. Please leave me comments on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram about what makes YOU proud to be an American! U-S-A!
This photo shoot was with fashion photographer, Lydia Hudgens on 5th Avenue, near Washington Square Park. Red, white, silver, and black is such a great color combination. Scroll down to "Shop the Look!" Everything has been handpicked by me.
Gimme More Yumi Kim Rompers
I'm loving my first real trip to Santa Monica. I've been before, but just for an afternoon. One of my besties drove from San Fran and we've been having the best time. Last night we went to a nice dinner and 'got all cute.' I just recently discovered a new handbag designer called Serpui. They are well made and all seem to have a little high class beachy vibe. One of the Del Frisco's waiters last night told me he thought I had brought him a coconut. And that's exactly what this bag looks like! A silky coconut with a fancy strap. LOL The gold earrings, crystal necklace, and classic gold pave link bracelet, are all from JCrew. The little black dress (LBD) is one of my favorite designers you always hear me talk about, La Petite Robe. The black scrappy heels are by Vince Camuto. Scroll down to shop the look! Michael Kors White Lace Sheath Dress
This is the first Yumi Kim romper I've ever bought. But I will definitely be getting more! How cute are these floral patterns? Brilliant colors and a glass half full kinda mantra. They really do have a real positive vibe! ;-) If you've heard me talk about Yumi Kim before... she does great maxi dresses too. Scroll down to shop the look! Hope you enjoy the fashions and find one you like! PHOTOS: Anna Kooiman, Charlotte, NC, Rick Belden Photography
Coral Black Halo on Studio Ten
This white lace, sheath dress is such a classy, 'wear anywhere' kind of dress! I think this will be a forever gold in my closet! It's by Michael Kors. It does run a little big. I am normally a US size 4. But I had to go down and get a US size 2. These glittery heels are fun aren't they?! They are also by Michael Kors and come in two separate heights: 4.3 inches.... and 3 inches. As for the fun pink peekaboo! The pink fan/tassel earrings are always such a fun surprise too. I have a million of these in different colors! The aviators sunnies are by Ray Ban. Make sure you scroll down to shop the look. Hope you see something you can't live without!

The Sky's the Limit for Fuchsia
Today I had the chance to hang out with my Aussie morning TV friends on Network Ten's, Studio 10. Such a fun-loving team! I wore this great coral dress by Black Halo. Black Halo dresses typically have a tailored look and are very saturated in color (usually solids). I have a couple different coral dresses in my closet by Black Halo. My favorite part of this look isn't the dress though! It's the accessories! The pumps are navy blue with subtle bows at the toes. The bracelet has gold strands with pink crystals on each tip. The big earrings are a great color combo... brown and gold! The white handbag is Louis Vuitton.

Making Black Magic Righteous with Milly
I had a blast being a panelist for the hour on Sky News Australia's number one show, Paul Murray Live. I wore this fuchsia wrap dress by La Petite Robe Chiara Boni. The material is stretchy and forgiving so it's really flattering. This designer is known for brilliant, saturated colors. Fuchsia is one of my absolute favorite colors. It's feminine with out being too froo-froo. The gold cuff with pink accents, the gold crystal dangly earrings, and the white patterned pumps are all from J Crew. I enjoy being on Sky News' PML show. The host is very good. Murray makes you think, makes you laugh, makes you want to make change, and definitely makes you want to watch more!
The Black Jumpsuit of ALL Jumpsuits
Let's make black magic righteous with Milly! Milly has supernatural powers if you ask me! haha So classy and always flattering cuts. This dress has laser mesh around the neckline and hemline. Really cute dealing that sets it apart from other LBDs. And check out the link because it's on sale! The red clutch is classic embossed Gucci. The red pumps are Steve Madden. The silver crystal bracelet is Kate Spade. The crystal post earrings are from Anthropologie. I'm standing in front of one of the Bondi Beach fixtures. The graffiti wall. This is one of my favorite installation at the moment. Sunsets. Smell of Rain. Ice Cold Beers. Starry Nights. Falling in Love. Nice, isn't it? Plum Dress with Black Leather Accents
This is the black jumpsuit of ALL jumpsuits! I say that because the cut is AMAZING! La Petite Robe is one of my absolute favorite designers. I have probably mentioned that 100 times already. But it is usually in regard to brilliant colored dresses that all fit like a glove. The cutouts at the top of this jumpsuit give it some extra character and sass. The fabric feels almost like a wetsuit! Very unique. As for the rest of the look.... The bag is Tory Burch. The floral pumps are Nine West. The statement, rhinestone cuff is from Nordstrom. The pink, tassel earrings are from Bondi Markets. The lipstick is Candy Yum-Yum by MAC. Scroll down and get the look. This killer jumpsuit is still on the market!!! Neutral Tones and Sequins in NYC's West Village
This plum dress with black leather accents around the shoulders is super classy. It's by Amy Matto. The cut is form fitting yet forgiving. It hits just above the knee. I had the opportunity to go on Sky News Australia's number one show again last night. Paul Murray is a really good broadcaster and is so welcoming every time I'm on his set. As far as the rest of the look goes.... the plum pumps and black leather bracelet are both from Jcrew. The large, crystal, post earrings are from Anthropologie. Scroll down to get similar looks for your own wardrobe!
Black Halo Wins on White Every Time
Neutral tones and sequins are an unsuspecting yet perfect pair. Classy and elegant with a touch of pizazz. The neutral tones mute the scream that sparkle can sometimes bring... the kind that causes a dress to enter the room before the woman. It's all about the girl in the dress... not the just the dress right!? The under layer of this dress is nude in color. That hue combined with its fitted naturekeeps the tailored look... despite having a looser overlay.
I declare! I will wear this dress until the sequins fall off! I've probably worn it too many times as is. It was a West Village staple while I was living there. Hey! If there are different people at the events you're going to... and the dress is a hit... Do you really have to wear something new every time!? Every time I got to give it to GoodWill... I think... I'll just wear it ONE more time! Do you have any dresses like that?
Check out my handpicked goodies below. As always... let me know on social media if you find something that jives with your style!

Brilliant Floral Maxi Dress For Any Occasion
Black Halo is tops. TOPS! Great designer. Today I got to be on Studio 10 again. ;-) A lovely morning show on Australia's Network 10. I wore this white, mesh detailed silhouette dress called, 'The Cicero.' But every time I wear a Black Halo dress I feel like I've picked a winner from my closet. They are typically quite fitted and almost look like they were perfectly personally tailored... seriously! So the dress is Black Halo. Silver sparkly peep toe pumps are Michael Kors. The silver and blue crystal bracelet is from Nordstrom in NC. The blue crystal earrings were a bridesmaids' gift from a wedding I was recently in down South. ;-)
You're a Peach!
My look of the day is focused around this Yumi Kim maxi dress. I feel like maxi dresses are the perfect 'go to' if I'm ever questioning what I ought to wear to an event. They can be dressed up or down. Perfect for a casual stroll along the Bondi Beach promenade ;-)... a bridal shower... wine tasting... dinner out on the town... meet the parents... picnic in the park... music festival... etc. Timeless. Yumi Kim is awesome for floral prints that will knock your socks off! So I've handpicked some of her maxi dresses. The tan and gold flats I'm wearing are by Sam Edelman. The necklaces and bracelets are all from Bondi Markets.... two exceptions... gold long chain is by Madewell... and the stud blue glass earrings are from Tasmania's Salamanca Markets. Pink Body Con Dress, Nude T Strap Pumps, Pink Studded Gold Cuff
Today I wore a dress on Aussie morning TV that is actually very special to me! (Along with it being the color of a Georgia Peach ;-)) I wore it on my last day hosting Fox and Friends in New York City. I said goodbye to a lot of friends that day last September. Actually not goodbye, but so long/ see ya later. I've already been back to NYC to see a lot of them and hope to again in July when I'm back in the US. So here's the outfit breakdown... Peach Chiara Boni La Petite Robe rouched dress, Aldo ankle strap pumps, Michael Kors white belt latching bracelet, and JCrew glitzy earrings.
Fashion Inspo: Fresh and Fruity Summer Sherbet
Today I did a guest appearance on Australia's The Today Show. It was a commentary segment about the President Trump - Prime Minister Turnbull meeting in NYC.
This pink body con dress is an exception to the body con dress rule in my book. Sometimes I think body con dresses can be WAY too tight and not flattering- but I think this has the perfect amount of room to be fitted and slender... yet not sausage-y! LOL The dress is by Kay Unger. The pink studded, gold cuff is J Crew. The t-strap, nude pumps are Nine West.

Black Sequins, Silver Skirt, and Some Fire on the Side
Getting a little fashion inspo from fresh and fruity summer sherbet. ;-) Growing up... I used to always get rainbow sherbet, orange sherbet, or raspberry sherbet when our family would go out for frozen treats. And if mom was feeling nice that day... I would get marshmallow creme as a topping! As for fashion... pink and orange together is sure to turn any frown upside down. So is the promenade down along Bondi Beach. Such a positive vibe. The dress is Trina Turk. The gold scrappy heels are Michael Kors. The gold chunky link bracelet is JCrew. PHOTO: Anna Kooiman, Bondi Beach, Lyndon Marceau
Pink + Black = HOT Combo
City slickin' around the greatest city in the world. Black sequins and a high waisted, silver accented skirt can't be beat. Lookout NYC! The fitted top and red bag are by Michael Kors. The skirt is Zara. The classic red lipstick is NARS. And the bling around my wrist is from Nordstrom. PHOTO: Anna Kooiman, New York City, Lydia Hudgens
Patchwork, Neon, and Lace... All in One Pretty Little Dress
Pink + Black = HOT Combo! Pink and black look great together. I wear this color combo a lot. I wore this dress while guest hosting the Aussie national morning TV show, Studio Ten. The designer is La Petite Robe Chiara Boni . The silver bracelet is Kate Spade. The pink and black pumps are Gwen Stefani. PHOTO: Studio Ten, Network Ten Australia
Pretty Pink Palm Dress, Hot Pink Heels, Pink Fan Earrings, and Fresh Papaya
Patchwork, neon, and lace... all in one pretty little dress! It sounds too busy... but this dress... and the handpicked selections I've made below can help you pull it all together! This dress is by Trina Turk. As for accessories here... I love to layer several necklaces to come up with different looks. My current favorite is this turquoise number! I also enjoy wearing a wrist full of beachy bracelets with threads like these. Enjoy! PHOTO: Anna Kooiman, Bondi Beach, Lyndon Marceau
This pretty pink palm dress screams energy and positivity. It's by Milly, The hot pink and orange pumps are Gwen Stefani. The pink fan earrings are from a boutique at the Bondi Markets. The lipstick is by MAC. It's called Candy Yum Yum. PHOTO: Anna Kooiman, Bondi Beach, Lyndon Marceau
