Wearing White to Intro My Baby to the City Where His Daddy and I Met and Married... NYC

L-O-V-E White can symbolize a lot can't it? Purity, new beginnings, innocence, etc. For whatever reason, I love wearing white. And I love my little bub wearing white too. Maybe there's something behind it. Or maybe it just always seems fresh. I wore this lovely white dress (by Heart and Soul) in New York City the day I strolled my three month old around the Big Apple... not far from where my husband and I met (The W Hotel in Times Square) and were married (The Central Park Boathouse).

Kendrick Slaughter of KK Bloom Boutique styled me and says, "Bringing a little sweet southern charm to NYC. This dress is one of my all time favorites. It's super flattering and you can wear it from day to night. Pair with fun earrings and a comfortable wedge. You can change up the entire look of this dress by adding layers on a chilly spring day (think denim jacket or leather jacket). New moms are so busy with their little ones. But sometimes it is just nice to get out and dress up in something breezy and go for a stroll!"

Wearing Byron Lars in NYC's West Village

I just had to come check out my old hood in NYC... The West Village. I think it's Manhattan's best neighborhood. Chill vibe. Amazing bars, boutiques, cafes, and fitness studios. When I moved to New York in 2011 I was living in the Central Park South area. That was nice too since it was right by Central Park and I was able to walk to work at Fox. But it felt too touristy. And the buildings were too tall! LOL Anyway it feels so nice to be back in the hood. So many fond memories of long walks with Baxter and romantic meals with my husband are all flooding back. New York City will always hold a special place in my heart.

Now for the dress! The DRESS! It's by Byron Lars. His styles are very tailored and the detailing is impeccable. You can pick one up using this LINK. Shop other Byron Lars goodies by scrolling down.

Michael Kors White Lace Sheath Dress

This white lace, sheath dress is such a classy, 'wear anywhere' kind of dress! I think this will be a forever gold in my closet! It's by Michael Kors. It does run a little big. I am normally a US size 4. But I had to go down and get a US size 2. These glittery heels are fun aren't they?! They are also by Michael Kors and come in two separate heights: 4.3 inches.... and 3 inches. As for the fun pink peekaboo!  The pink fan/tassel earrings are always such a fun surprise too. I have a million of these in different colors! The aviators sunnies are by Ray Ban. Make sure you scroll down to shop the look. Hope you see something you can't live without!
